Stain Boy Mug
Stain Boy is a character from a series of flash animation shorts called The World of Stain Boy created by Tim Burton in 2000. This mug features the Stain Boy character in black and white. When the mug is filled with hot liquid, the stain images surrounding him disappear. When filled with cold liquid, the stain images become visible. Hand-wash only. Not meant for the microwave.
With a visual style inspired by the aesthetics of animation and silent comedy, Tim Burton has reinvented Hollywood genre filmmaking over the past three decades, melding the exotic, the horrific, and the comic and manipulating expressionism and fantasy with the skill of a graphic novelist. This product was selected to accompany MoMA's major career retrospective, Tim Burton.
