Tricia Guild
Tricia Guild is known for her bold and original fabric and wallpaper collections and her extraordinary ability to use color - and pattern - in decoration. She founded Designers Guild in London in 1970, one of the most influential and creative forces in the world of industrial design, and she is renowned for her masterful mixing of large- and small-scale patterns in a variety of contrasting colors, finishes, and textures. Taking traditional motifs and giving them a modern twist; finding surprising contemporary uses for forgotten techniques; all these are vital to Guild's original designs.
She has received several awards, including an honorary fellowship of the Royal College of Art, the International Elle Decoration Award for fabric design, and the US Elle Décor award for the best in wall covering. Tricia is also the author of twelve books, including Tricia Guild's Country Color and Tricia Guild on Color.
