Registry Help

MoMA Design Store’s gift registry is designed to be convenient and enjoyable for both registrants and gift givers. You can begin your registry here or find a registry here.

If you have any questions about your registry, you can call 1.800.793.3167 or e-mail registry@moma.org to be connected to a customer service representative.

Buying Gift Registry Items

  • You can search for a friend or family member's gift registry with our search feature.
  • Enter as much information as you have and click "Find Registry".
  • The search feature will return a list of registries. Click on the name of the registrant and you'll be taken to a detailed registry list.
  • Enter a quantity next to the item(s) you'd like to give and then click the "Add to Cart" button.
  • When you've finished shopping, click the "Cart" link on the top of the page to proceed to checkout.

Creating a Gift Registry

Create a Registry Online:

  • Go to the Create a Registry page.
  • Enter your name, contact information, event type, and a name for your event. Note: you can use your existing MoMAstore username to create a gift registry profile.
  • After your registry has been confirmed, you will be ready to begin shopping.
  • When you see a product you like, add it to your registry using the "Add to Registry" button located on every product page.
  • We'll save your list automatically as you build it. (Do not add items to cart)

Creating a Gift Registry in Stores:

Request assistance at any MoMA Design Store location and we'll help you to get started. You can also visit one of our store kiosks to create a registry and then request a scanner to add items to your registry while you shop. You may also create a registry over the phone by calling 1.800.793.3167.

Editing/Adding to Your Gift Registry

  • Log in to access your menu of registry management options.
  • Once you log in, you can view your list, update quantities, and shop for new items.
  • To add items, simply go to any product page, select the quantity, and click the "Add to Registry" button. We'll automatically save any changes you make to your registry.
  • To add items by product number, visit the ‘Add Item By Number’ page when logged-in. All products sold in the MoMA Design Stores and catalog are available for your registry.
  • You can also access and edit your gift registry in person at any MoMA Design Store location or over the phone by calling 1.800.793.3167.

Gift Registry - Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my search for a gift registry returning no results?
You may have misspelled the registrant's name. Try entering only the first few letters of the person's first and last names. If searching for a wedding or commitment ceremony registry, be sure to try the names of both people.

Is gift wrapping available for gift registry items?
Yes. Most items can be wrapped for a charge of $5.00 each. Each product page will indicate whether gift wrapping is available.

What should I do if I forget my gift registry password?
If you forget your password, please visit our password page to request a reminder.

If I already have a MoMAstore account, do I need to create another password for my gift registry?
No. You can log in with the email address/user name and password you already selected to access your registry.

What does it mean when a product is "No Longer Available"?
This means that the item is not available for purchase online and is discontinued. Unfortunately, these items will not become available in the future.

What does it mean when a product is available in "Limited Quantities"?
This means that the item is still in stock, but there are very few remaining. Unfortunately, these items will not become available again once stock is depleted. We recommend that you purchase these items right away.

Can I create a gift registry over the phone or in the store?
Yes. Just call 1.800.793.3167 or visit the customer service desk at any MoMA Design Store and we'll help you create your registry.

How can my guests find a MoMA Design Store near them?
The best option is to order online. A list of MoMA Design Store locations can be found here

How do I announce my gift registry via e-mail?
Log in to your registry and choose the "Announce Registry" option.

If I create a gift registry, will you be sending me a lot of e-mail?
You will able to choose to receive e-mail notifications when you create your registry. We'll send you a single confirmation e-mail after you create your registry.

What if I don't want my gift registry available over the Internet?
Log in to your registry and go to the Visibility Settings page, then choose the "In-store Access Only" option. Your gift registry list will then only be available to guests who inquire at the MoMA Design Store or call 1.800.793.3167.

Will my personal information be available for others to see?
We display your name, city and state so that guests can locate your registry list through our search feature. We'll never show private information such as your mailing address or phone numbers.

Can I open more than one gift registry?
Yes. You can use the same e-mail address and password for multiple accounts.

Can I open a gift registry for someone else?
Yes. Feel free to create a registry for anyone you know who has a special event on the horizon such as a birthday or anniversary.

How quickly is my gift registry updated?
When a family member or friend buys something from your registry online, the update will appear within minutes of the transaction.

How long will my gift registry be available to me and to my guests?
Your registry will be available online for one year after the date of your event.

Should I avoid choosing seasonal or sale items for my registry?
If your event is months away, we suggest you avoid choosing seasonal or sale items that may not be in stock in the future. If an item is marked as having “Limited Availability,” we recommend purchasing it immediately.

Should I check in on my registry from time to time?
It's a good idea to check in on your registry. You'll be able to see which items have been purchased and add more items.
