I want to purchase a chair. Can the MoMA Store deliver this bulky product?

We can deliver oversize items to most addresses within the contiguous 48 United States. We will choose the appropriate carrier for your selection, ensuring that every purchase is efficiently shipped to the address you provide. Some of these products can't be gift-wrapped, shipped internationally, or may require additional fees, however. This information is presented on each product page. Please see our shipping policies for more information.

What are the advantages of becoming a MoMA member?

As a MoMA member you will enjoy a variety of benefits: Unlimited free admission for a year to the Museum's collections and exhibitions, gallery talks and film programs, exclusive members-only previews and visiting hours, and a 10% discount on all merchandise purchased from MoMA Stores, the MoMA Store website, and our gift catalog.

How much will it cost to ship my order?

Shipping and Handling rates will be calculated separately for each address. Some items have additional shipping charges as noted on the product page.

For Alaska, Hawaii, and other U.S. territories, add $7.00. For Canada and Mexico, add $12.00. Shipments outside of the contiguous U.S., Express delivery, and oversize items will also require additional charges.

What is your return policy?

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return your merchandise within 90 days for a prompt and courteous exchange or refund, whichever you prefer. Gift recipients will receive a merchandise credit in the form of a MoMA Gift Card. Please follow the instructions on the back of your packing slip for returns. Can orders be shipped internationally?

Most of our products can be shipped to international addresses. Recipients are responsible for all customs duties or taxes in that country, which are collected by the carrier upon delivery. Shipping rates are calculated based on the weight of the order and its destination. You may also contact Customer Service for more information.

What forms of payment are accepted for online purchases?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards, as well as MoMA Store Gift Cards.

Is it safe for me to pay by credit card over the Internet?

Yes. MoMA secure server software uses industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology. SSL encodes your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, as it travels over the Internet so that all transactions are secure. If you prefer, you may also place a MoMA Store order by phone at 1.800.851.4509 (or 212.708.9888 outside of the U.S.) or by fax at 1.212.333.1127.

I'd like my product to be considered for sale at the MoMA Store. How do I submit information?

To submit products to be considered for sale please e-mail a link to pictures, pricing, and all relevant information to product_submissions@moma.org. Product samples mailed to the MoMA offices cannot be returned.

Gift Registry

Why is my search for a gift registry returning no results?

You may have misspelled the registrant's name. Try entering only the first few letters of the person's first and last names. If searching for a wedding or commitment ceremony registry, be sure to try the names of both people.

Is gift wrapping available for gift registry items?

Yes. Most items can be wrapped for a charge of $5.00 each. Each product page will indicate whether gift wrapping is available.

What should I do if I forget my gift registry password?

If you forget your password, please visit our password page to request a reminder.

If I already have a MoMA Store account, do I need to create another password for my gift registry?

No. You can log in with the email address/user name and password you already selected to access your registry.

What does it mean when a product is "No Longer Available"?

This means that the item is not available for purchase online and is discontinued. Unfortunately, these items will not become available in the future.

What does it mean when a product is available in "Limited Quantities"?

This means that the item is still in stock, but there are very few remaining. Unfortunately, these items will not become available again once stock is depleted. We recommend that you purchase these items right away.

How can I get assistance with my gift registry?

Can I create a gift registry over the phone or in the store?

Yes. Just call 1.800.447.6662 or visit the customer service desk at any MoMA Design Store and we'll help you create your registry.

How can my guests find a MoMA Design Store near them?

The best option is to order online. A list of MoMA Design Store locations can be found here.

How do I announce my gift registry via e-mail?

Log in to your registry and choose the "Announce Registry" option.

If I create a gift registry, will you be sending me a lot of e-mail?

You will able to choose to receive e-mail notifications when you create your registry. We'll send you a single confirmation e-mail after you create your registry.

What if I don't want my gift registry available over the Internet?

Log in to your registry and go to the Visibility Settings page, then choose the "In-store Access Only" option. Your gift registry list will then only be available to guests who inquire at the MoMA Design Store or call 1.800.447.6662.

Will my personal information be available for others to see?

We display your name, city and state so that guests can locate your registry list through our search feature. We'll never show private information such as your mailing address or phone numbers.

Can I open more than one gift registry?

Yes. You can use the same e-mail address and password for multiple accounts.

Can I open a gift registry for someone else?

Yes. Feel free to create a registry for anyone you know who has a special event on the horizon such as a birthday or anniversary.

How quickly is my gift registry updated?

When a family member or friend buys something from your registry online, the update will appear within minutes of the transaction.

How long will my gift registry be available to me and to my guests?

Your registry will be available online for one year after the date of your event.

Should I avoid choosing seasonal or sale items for my registry?

If your event is months away, we suggest you avoid choosing seasonal or sale items that may not be in stock in the future. If an item is marked as having "Limited Availability," we recommend purchasing it immediately.

Should I check in on my registry from time to time?

It's a good idea to check in on your registry. You'll be able to see which items have been purchased and add more items.

Gift Cards

What is a MoMA Gift Card?

Our Gift Cards make the perfect gift for all occasions and are available in any denomination from $10 to $1000 for merchandise up to the prepaid value of the card. A personal message free of charge, sender's name, gift amount, card number and pin are included.

Can the MoMA Gift Card be redeemed online as well as in a store?

Yes, Gift Cards are redeemable through MoMAstore.org, on orders placed by phone at 1.800.851.4509, or at any MoMA Store location in Manhattan.

How do I purchase a MoMA Gift Card?

MoMA Gift Card or E-gift Card can be purchased on our Gift Cards page, by phone 1.800.793.3167, or at any MoMA Store location in Manhattan.

What does it cost to ship a Gift Card?

Delivery to U.S. addresses is free of charge and is shipped by UPS, separately from other items in your order. Express delivery is available to most locations for $18 per address. International delivery is available for $10 per address.

When will the Gift Card arrive?

MoMA Gift Cards will arrive within 7 business days. If Express shipping is chosen, Gift Cards will arrive within 3 business days. MoMA E-gift Cards are delivered to your recipient's email address immediately after your online purchase.

How can I check the remaining balance of my MoMA Gift Card?

Check the remaining balance on our Gift Card Balance page, by phone 1.800.793.3167, or at any MoMA Store location in Manhattan.

What if I have a previously issued red Gift Card?

Our red MoMA Gift Cards purchased at our store locations or issued as a merchandise credit before August 10, 2010 will continue to be redeemable in our store locations in Manhattan, but cannot be redeemed at MoMA Store.org. Please mail the old gift card or visit our stores to be reissued our new multichannel card that you may want to use online.

How do I redeem MoMA Gift Cards online?

It's easy. Shop and proceed to checkout as usual. On the payment page, enter your number and pin, click Apply Gift Card or E-gift Card and proceed with checkout. If the value of your Gift Card does not cover the full cost, a credit card may be used to cover the difference.

Are there any limitations?

MoMA Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash or redeemed in our affiliate locations and websites in Japan or Korea. No offers may be applied to the purchase of a Gift Card. Good for merchandise only; cannot use to purchase memberships or museum entry.
