Great for even older kids. Love the mirror and that it comes out and that there are not just fun shapes to look at, but panels that flip up and crinkle paper to add noise and texture.

Th bold graphics are easy for the baby's eyes to focus on, and the crackles are intriguing! this is excellent for tactile movement of little fingers.

The colors of the mat are great and it's a mat with thickness. My 3 month old cousin looks great on it. I think the colors and things to pull on stimulate him to stick his head up and explore (building those neck muscles).
