Eames® Folding Screen
Charles and Ray Eames, 1946
Waves of wood to build privacy, mask clutter, divide space, or simply to stand in a room and elicit admiring remarks. One of the earliest of Charles and Ray Eames' designs in molded plywood, the screen curves to fit any kind of space and folds away neatly when not in use. Originally developed with canvas hinges, the sections of the screen are now hinged with a durable woven polypropylene mesh to ensure a longer life without compromising the integrity of the 1946 design. Its six movable ten inch-wide sections are fashioned from ash-faced maple plywood. Made by Herman Miller®.
