Eames® Hang-It-All
Charles and Ray Eames, 1953
The Eames's sense of play is evident in the Hang-It-All, one of a number of whimsical toy and furniture items they designed for children and adults alike. Originally designed for Tigrett Enterprise's Playhouse division, the production of its frame was accomplished by using the same wire welding techniques they developed for manufacturing their wire chair and table bases. At once childlike in its use of color and a boldly sophisticated take on the simple coat rack. Made of painted steel-wire rods capped with painted maple balls. Hardware is included. Made by Herman Miller®. Not intended as a toy.
