Edison: The Invention of the Movies DVD
An interactive history of the Edison Company and the invention of the motion picture, this unprecedented collection is from Kino International and the Film and Media Department of The Museum of Modern Art together with the Library of Congress. The four DVD box set includes: 140 complete Edison Company films produced between 1891 and 1918, restored and mastered for DVD with new musical scores; more than 200 scans of artifacts from MoMA's Edison Collection never before available to the public- including stills, script fragments, and interoffice memos; film-by-film program notes by Charles Musser, the world's leading authority on the films of the Thomas Edison studio; and two hours of interviews with archivists and early cinema scholars.
