Miniature Chair, Well Tempered Chair

These collectible miniatures painstakingly replicate important chairs in the development of twentieth-century furniture design. Made by Vitra Design Museum. It is reproduced at a scale of 1:6.
The Well Tempered Chair takes on the temperature of the user. The combination of the inviting form of an armchair and the material - spring steel - create a surrealistic-looking object, which invites one to sit down yet is simultaneously unwelcoming.
