Mochi
Devilrobots & Kidrobot, 2008
Mochi serves as the mascot for MoMA's Destination: Japan product collection. A nod to the diverse menagerie of kawaii (cute) characters that represent Japanese brands and serve as guides to everyday activities, he was developed in collaboration with the design studio Devilrobots and the art toy designer and retailer Kidrobot. This limited-edition collectible toy is available in four colors and is sold in individual blind boxes.
Not intended for small children.
