Product Description

Pig Cooking Lid

This multipurpose lid can be placed in boiling water directly over ingredients to help them cook evenly, releasing steam through the pig's snout. This helps preserve the shape of fragile ingredients by reducing the pressure that boiling bubbles exert on food. This was one of the many designers featured in Destination: Japan, a curator-approved, MoMA-exclusive product collection highlighting contemporary Japanese design products. MoMA has a long and storied history with Japan, featuring over 1,000 works in the collection by Japanese artists and designers including objects, tea-related items, textiles, furniture design, films, painting, and sculpture. Can also be used to cover food in the microwave, and as a grip to open lids. Dishwasher- and microwave-safe.
