Product Description

Plumen 001 Bulb

The world's first designer energy-saving bulb, this compact fluorescent light bulb uses 80% less energy and lasts eight times longer than a standard incandescent bulb. Featuring a unique sculptural form, the Plumen 001 can be displayed with or without a lampshade to make an eye-catching statement. The product’s name is derived from "plume"—a bird’s show feather, designed to attract attention to the creature’s prowess and beauty; Plumen aims to do the same for the energy saving light bulb. Designed by Sam Wilkinson and Nicolar Roope, the Plumen 001 Bulb is featured in the Museum’s collection. The 110V CFL bulb screws into standard North American fittings and emits a warm white light. 11-watts (equivalent to 60-watt incandescent light bulb). 8,000 hour lifetime. Not dimmable. Hanging kit not included. For indoor use only. Made by Hulger.
