Asked for and received these for Christmas. They're gorgeous, but they're almost TOO flexible; they stand up fine but they're kind of floppy once you pick them up. I'm afraid that once I fill them with, say, a dip, they'll be difficult to carry without putting them on a tray. That's not tested yet - maybe they'll get more stable. But I was definitely surprised. Even more disappointing is that the lip on each lid isn't really "deep" enough to secure it. They just kind of sit on top, and if you pick up the pepper by the sides and it flops inward because it's more flexible than you expected, the lid kind of pops off.

Finally, the box actually calls these steamers - the brand-name is apparently "Cookit" - but has no instructions regarding how to use them as such. Not that they're big enough for steaming anything, unless you only want to make about three florets of broccoli.

In the end I'm a little confused as to how I'm actually going to use these. Maybe to hold cut up lemons in the fridge? Or maybe for salsa when we have guests over? Or maybe just to look cute and hold (tiny) odds and ends on the counter...

I am giving these as a fun XMAS sticking-stuffer so I cannot rate the performance yet. But there were NO instructions as to how (or how not ) to use them. They are not elegant and it is not clear what you do with them
