Skyscrapers Glass Coaster Set
These glass coasters are based on Josef Albers's Skyscrapers series of glass compositions c. 1929, and are authorized by the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation. In the Skyscapers series, Albers explored industrial techniques to create objective art and showcased his interest in modernist architecture. Applying a technique used for engraving headstones, Albers created the abstract compositions by sandblasting sheets of colored glass. The coasters are made of printed glass. Wipe clean. Set of four.
Product selected to accompany Bauhaus 1919–1933: Workshops for Modernity.
