Stylos Floor Lamp
From Italian designer and architect Achille Castiglioni, whose work is represented in the Museum's collection, the Stylos Floor lamp provides diffused and reflected light. The base houses a cool-beam flood lamp, which illuminates the column. An incandescent source at the top provides additional diffused light. Dual foot switches on the power cord allow independent operation of both lamps. The weighted base is finished in metallic silver. Includes one 120W Par 38 halogen bulb and one 100W superlux incandescent bulb. Made by Flos.

About the Designer
Achille Castiglioni
The legendary Italian architect and industrial designer Achille Castiglioni (1918-2002) is renowned worldwide as a teacher and pioneer of twentieth-century design. Best known for his furniture, lighting, and exhibition work, he created finely styled, expressive, highly imaginative designs for items as diverse as vacuum cleaners and bathroom fixtures. In collaboration with his brother Pier Giacomo until 1968, he used experimental and traditional forms, and new technology to create objects in diverse materials. MoMA celebrates the legacy of this great master and inspiration.
