Subway Token Cufflinks
When the subway fare increased to 15 cents in 1953, the engineers were unable to design a turnstile that would accept two different coins—thus, the subway token was born. This set of cufflinks is made with authentic 15-cent tokens from this era. The Subway Token Cufflinks reflect the Museum's effort to celebrate objects related to the New York City subway system, many of which are featured in the Museum’s collection.
