Unlike most of what I've gotten over the years at MOMA, this product is useless, does not work well and never looks like it does in the picture. I just threw mine away.

I bought several of these for use on a large deck. Two of them did not work right out of the box. After leaving them outside for over a year, all of them have collected rainwater to the point of disabling the electronics. The seals are simply not watertight, at least when they must withstand the rigors of Kansas thunderstorms and blizzards. Each jar has collected several inches of water internally. This is a great idea with poor execution. Some serious re-engineering is needed. Placing the solar cell on the bottom of the jar, and using the lid as a base would help solve the water issues.

I sent this to my mom for her birthday and even though she lives in the south with sunny days, the lamp does NOT work. She kept thinking she was doing something wrong, but in fact, it just deos NOT work as described. Don't waste your money on this.

I am giving this one star only because the site would not let me give it no stars. I purchased this because my daughter had bought one for my son and it seemed like a cute light for our deck. I bought three, placed them in full sun and they glow for about an hour, if that. For [$] each, a person should expect more than that. I think no more should be sold.

1 star for the picture used for advertising, but that's all it is. The product we received didn't work at all. The light flickers a little for a second when you press on the lid really hard, but then immediately goes out -- this is after the jar was left in the sun on a sunny day for the entire day.
