This book, published to accompany a 1993 exhibition at The Museum of Modern Art, which was the most extensive presentation assembled to that date of Latin American modern art, contains 39 full-color reproductions of works by twentieth-century artists and a brief text that summarizes the spectacular flowering of modernism in the Latin American countries. The full catalogue of the original exhibition, Latin American Artists of the Twentieth Century, edited by Waldo Rasmussen, then Director of the Museum's International Program, is now out of print.
