I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 7-year old nephew. After trying it he couldn't put it down. It hands-down beat out all the other modern, plastic toys he had already opened (that he had asked for and loved). It kept his attention the rest of the evening. I HIGHLY recommend this toy!

This is a really well made, creative, fun toy! Aesthetically pleasing too. It's so fun to make all sorts of strange and funny sounds! You can turn the knob all the way clockwise, then record yourself speaking at a low pitch, then play it back, turning the knob all the way counter-clockwise, and it plays back what sounds like an elephant grunt! Fun! Of course, you can do the opposite with a high pitched voice, etc. I bought this as a gift but I'm not sure I can part with it!

Pretty home made like design. I met a guy who made controllers midi with boxes of sardines or speakers with fruit boxes in Paris.
